I'm on it as well! I just returned into town and thought it had completely disappeared. It's incredibly dangerous and I'll go out there today and get rid of it.

Sorry about this - totally unacceptable!

Update - we brought a bunch of hands out to the sandbar yesterday but with the water level where it's at it is impossible to dig it out. Every handful of sand we removed was simply replaced by the current. We are going to call the dam and have them lower the level for us one morning so we an dig the pickle out with shovels. We tied a large barrel to the feature to clearly mark this danger.

I apologize for the danger - and am in contact with the port and sheriff on the matter so that we can get this resolved as fast as possible.

Thanks for your understanding as we get this resolved. Help spread the word to stay away from the blue barrel at the end of the Sandbar, but we should be able to get this out fairly soon.

You could use a gas powered utility pump, shoot water down to scour around the poles?

Hydro mining the poles out would work, just don't tell anybody you're going to do it. There will be a court injunction by the new group, Friends of the Pole, to keep you from destroying the beauty and tranquility they and many others feel so deeply when visiting. Just sayin.
