Got there around 2pm - looked super light - balmy 41 - suited up, grabbed the skim, small board, and the 12m. Looked iffy - but worth the trek down to check it out. The trail was free of Viet Shlong but was under a couple inches of water and layer of frictionless goose shit.
Not much wind - some spots of sand still showing by the volley ball court. Pumped up the 12, began laying out the lines and someone turns on the wind machine. 10 to 30+ in about five minutes - standing holding the 12 and thinking I'll just hang and see if it blows itself out.
15 minutes and still getting stronger. Should of packed up - but maybe because I grabbed the wife's deodarant this morning by accident and smelled like putanany - needed to get the stink off.
Hiked back to the car - wiped out twice in the goose shit - not a confidence builder - got the 7m - wiped out one more time on the return for good measure.
Self launch - tangled bridles - very exciting - self correcting (fortunate)
Fun (survival) session - explosive self landing - gear and limbs still intact .
The sun came out at 4:15 an lit everything orange - awesome.
