I'm already seeing Roos blowing 29-39. Should be an exciting day out east.

For those wanting a shorter drive... The Rowena/Doug's sensor is showing the same wind reading as out east. Doug's swell can also get pretty darn good, and might be a more reachable option for the after work crew...

It looks like the outflow at john day dam stayed below 300,000 cfs all day so Rufus should be a good option again also. Great news for the windance demo and huckfest.

rufus was horrible, holey, rodeo wind. I dont go there much, some of the folks out there told us the wind direction was wrong. north apparently fucks it up. Too bad, it was a nice day out there and was really windy.

The term you are looking for with the northerly wind is " devils wind".

The devil wind does seem to impact Rufus the most. A localized thing. Late afternoon winds at Roosevelt, Arlington, and 3-mile stayed southwest high 30mph with gusts into 40s and a 50. Lots of people out at all 3 sites. And 80 degrees.

And speaking of HuckFest. We saw some kiters training on Tuesday at Rufus. Going HUGE. It is going to be a blast!
