Great wind for the coast with a fun but small sw swell forecasted (perfect scenario for those at the coast; especially those who ride in 1 spot and ride with kitepants on). Unfortunately I can't make it, but I'm thinking of getting teased by the SI temptress sometime today. Will she put out today? I think so.

Parson's airfield already showing NW 8, breeze is starting to kick in over in SW PDX.

Get some!

Swing! Clatsop sensor at NW 15 at 10:15 which rarely happens at this time of day. SI just read variable at 6 mph which means it's about to switch North and turn on.

Here comes Slither and Kraemer out of the side hatch!

There are a lot more clouds so far than were forecast. It looks pretty unstable right now. That usually means even shittier wind than usual for SI. It could be up and down like a yo-yo.

Gradients look ugly so far.

If the clouds disappear by the early PM, it could still be OK.

That's a pretty good pic that Jason found of the old hussy! If she was holding a tallboy can of Pabst blue ribbon it would be damn realistic Smile

Dammit Steve! Way to crash the party with science...

I'm still planning to head out and hope the clouds break up. At the worst it will be time at the beach with beer and friends. (The Sauvie Island Creed?)

The coast and Scappoose are honking right now, so who knows! It does look pretty variable still though.

I'm a little worried that the wind will come and go with each passing cummie.

4 kites on the water. 12's and 13's well powered as they are no signing their kites. I think all are riding Twin tips.

3 more kites about to launch.

Yes, nice to see a few of the 2003-2006 old timers ( drewB, CrazyCarl, Kreamer, Chrismack (I think), Tony. Cool to see and visit with the newer crew. The more things change the more they stay the same...I love hearing and seeing the stoke of the newbies.

The SI temptress put out some...best wind from 5-6 on a 12m and 5'4" surfboard and rode up to the volleyball court.

Up and down before and after that.

I'd say SI went to second base so to speak.
