I find pumping up the kite a nice way to warm up the torso before the sesh, no electric pump for me.

Probably better to actually stretch and warm up while the kite is getting pumped up by itself Wink I'll be doing jumping jacks while my kite is getting inflated.

10 p.s.i. as noted in the vimeo is not the 14 p.s.i. I believe I usually need for my Naish One ISUP?
Not sure because my hand pump gauge broke early in my winter in Mexico... so I just pumped it up harder than hard hard, then then a few more. For ISUP, an electric pump would sure be nice. Needs an iphone app though Smile

I'm with you Kip. I'd buy both a pump and an iSUP if there was one that would do both. Otherwise, pumping up a 7m or even a 10m isn't really that hard, and I'm updating to North's newer valves that connect directly for my big kites (the nozzle and friction thing is really more of a legacy carried forward, as we used to use Coleman inflatable mattress pumps).

I just ordered my pump yesterday to get it today in time for an afternooner on my 13.5 and I'm a believer now. Pumped up my 13.5 in 3 minutes. No more trashing my back pumping up kites and on the water with more energy.

For inspiration you can listen to this song on the way to the beach. Go John Henry, Go!

This pump works really well. I had a chance to use one last week and it even holds the kite down in most wind, allowing me to set my lines out and then ride sooner. Gonna get one as soon as money allows.

I have a similar pump that didn't come with a filter. I don't really like the external filters I have seen used with these pumps so I am using a Nitro RC Car filter I got off amazon.

Its comes pre-oiled with almost to much oil, so I patted it down with a paper towel and jammed it in the inlet. Seems to work pretty well in my at home testing. I was worried it might get sucked in to the pump but it didn't move a bit.
