Sat May 03, 14 8:53 am Kitemare - happy ending! |

6pm-7:30 surprise solo 10m sesh at the Hatch last night!
But I got too cocky on the downwind run back to the event site.
Dropped the kite at the WS rivermouth and it just wouldn't relaunch.
Half an hour later scrambling up the rocks on the WA side,
I encountered Joe The Kiter, who had noticed me and came to help.
He helped me get my shit together, and then we rode his jet ski up to the Hatch
(Poaching the Indian boat ramp by the bridge)
And we found my board!!!!
Getting back to OR, Matt Wheeler had noticed I was late,
And he had taken care of my dog, and was waiting for me to get back!
It feels really amazing to know people care and they are looking out for you.
I'll do my best this season to be really helpful and aware of everyone.
Thanks kiter community! |
