I just got back last night. I had wind 6 out of 7 days. It basically shut off on Saturday and many folks were leaving town for a few days. The forecast is probably reasonably accurate.

seems like ikitesurf/windsurf isnt that accurate a few days out all the time. those thermals can turn on pretty quick down there. dont get to discouraged just yet

If ikitesurf/windsurf is predicting north wind, you can 'usually' add 5-8 knots on top of the forecast to account for the thermal boost.

my experience down there was that it always surprised us with more wind than the forecast. But if we were really without wind its a short drive to the pacific side to chase surf

Between WindAlert and Mikes forecast you will get as accurate as can be.
Take a moment to read mikes daily forecast and what makes the winds there and you will be set.

He lives right there above the hot springs in El Sargento just north of La Ventana.

Extended forecast: Weak wind Tuesday and Wednesday in the sub teens. Thursday slightly stronger wind but still southerly. Friday low teen wind.
