Sun Feb 09, 14 7:03 am The Elusive Snowkiting Day |
|
|
The moment we learned about the snow, we all started to hope...But where??? We started asking friends, scanning Google Maps for fields with good wind exposure, posting on forums, looking at wind sensors everywhere, including in spots of no interest in the summer... Many of us started driving around: not enough wind, not enough snow, not enough space,...Some of us were just not going to let go and we had to find it and experience it: the elusive snowkiting day... Well, we did and found the perfect spot for 10 seconds runs!!!! We really can't say that it was epic. But there was snow, there was some wind, and there was a little bit of riding...And thanks to a perfectly customized minivan, a couple of us actually had quite a fun couple of days:
Here is the VID to prove it:

Hope you enjoy it! |

Glad the power lines didn't " 'light-up' your life"! |

Powerlines were way upwind. What you see downwind is a throwing cage (track and field)... Definitely no electricity there. Last edited by sromano1995 on Sun Feb 09, 14 2:50 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Made the most of the snow - Awesome. I was hoping to stop the dudes who whizzed by on my street on the ATV's to see if that could tow me on my snowboard. Didn't catch them in time. |
