Last trip out I wrapped a line around my one pump connector on the strut when I crashed. Upon relaunch the line pulled on the connector and put a small crack in it.
ok, so I know the proper way to repair a cracked strut air connector would be to replace it with a new one. But, I am going to the coast tomorrow and want a quick fix. It's only 7 psi, so my thought is the glue used for wetsuits might be the way to go or there is the sprayon leak stop in an aerosol can sold at hardware stores.
If any of you have attempted this repair please chime in. |

We have had good results using flexible glues/epoxy when needing to do quick repairs in the field. Specifically the 3M Scotch Weld. Two part makes it a pain but that is what we found available in our time of need. Rubber cement and neoprene glue will work also BUT you need to coat all the way around and use several layers in order for it to really make a good bond/seal _________________ "I have often regretted my speech, never my silence" ~Xenocrates |
