The 4th photo (Capture9) is what snow kiting is all about for me. No lift tickets, no lines and no crowds with endless powder turns going up or down the mountain. Simply perfect.
Thanks for the post Ken.

Out of curiosity, how do you usually go about planning this sort of trip? What sort of transportation options do you use? Lodging / camping?

On this trip we travelled around from spot to spot to snowkite, backcountry ski, and skate ski, using the weather forecast and snowpack report as a guide. We camped each night with low temps of 20. Travelling around offers access to plenty of inexpensive motels as compared to staying put in a "ski" town where prices are expensive. Have FUN, flow with the wind, and see you out there.
