This morning the Jones Beach Administrative Rule passed with the committee and Governor.

Proposed Rule
OAR 141-088-

RESTRICTIONS FOR STATE-OWNED PROPERTY at JONES BEACH (Columbia River)

All State-owned land that is under the jurisdiction of the Department in the area known as Jones Beach, between Columbia River mile 46.0 and Columbia River mile 48.0,lying North of River Front Road, in Sections 33 and 34 Township 8 North, Range 5 West, Willamette Meridian, in Columbia County, Oregon, is closed to:

(1) All uses between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. throughout the year.

(2) All Class I, II, III, or IV ATV's that are not licensed for highway use.
Except Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Excepted from these restrictions are Government-owned vehicles on official business, public and private vehicles performing company business, vehicles involved in rescue or emergency activities, district authorized persons and landowners inspecting or maintaining levees and fences.

This would cover restricting the use of using ATV's to two days a week.

Suprised to see the wed and Monday atv exemption and the 10pm closer year round. Figured atv would be banned all together oh well...
Sad about the loss of camping and year closure. I petitioned hard to keep some sort of camping open for summer days...

But at least this mess Is all settled and we don't have to wait in klimbo anymore wondering what the rules would be.
