| Yep, they constructed a road gate to close Rufus, they are trying as hard as possible to piss off the taxpayers. Aren't they suppose to work for us? Think of all the Federal lands, our land by the way, they are doing this to. Please contact your representative and let them know how you feel. Some heads should roll on these purely political decisions, no matter what your politics are. Apparently common sense need not apply to government decisions any more. With that said, Rufus was outstanding! |

Yep. There it was. I couldn't believe it.
They took the time and money to build a gate at Rufus.
I am far far from a Tea Bagger, but that makes me kind of want the shut down to last longer. They shouldn't think antics like that will get their funding back sooner. |

That was idiotic. We don't pay for these lands we own them. The Government taxes you on a made up debt called a federal reserve note. They are attempting to enslave people too stupid to know better. It seems like they are actually doing a pretty good job. Then there are those of us who actually studied History.

Good Lord, it's only temporary. Stop whining. if you really want to kite there, then park your rig ...walk. There are other locals. May be a good time to explore. It's Rooster Rock season anyways. Or how about Stevenson? You can do easterlies AND westerlies there.
It's just kiting. There are other issues that are a bit more important..like no paychecks for food/shelter due to political theater. Kiting is a priviledge in this economic storm.
Downing people for spelling/grammar is petty.I'd rather keep nwkite elevated than becoming an immature hate festival.

As much as you want to hate, this guy has a point, many of the people in this country have no idea what the federal reserve is much less how it works, even less people know that it is a privately owned institution. Not sure what this has to do with the shutdown however.
The only good coming out of the shutdown is some people actually beginning to realize what a bunch of jackasses the people who "run" this country are. Maybe at some point people will be pissed off enough to actually demand a change in the way we do things... but I doubt it.

Too many people blame the Republicans and think the Democrats and Obama are the good guys. Or they blame the Democrats and Obama and think the Republicans are our saviors. Or, think it's Congress, but Obama is OK. The simple fact is that right now it's the Republicans AND the Democrats AND Obama that are ALL jackasses and crooks. |

if it's petty to down people on their spelling knowledge, then it's petty to down people on their "historical knowledge". I was making fun of the pretentiousness that people have on here ( i.e., I agree with you), especially when it is political and has nothing to do with kiting. Trust me I'm not pointing out all grammatical errors.
And my point of view is we are all standing in different spots on this planet, seeing things from different points of view. Knowledge is fun to acquire, but should always be seen for what it is: biased experiential vapor, nada, myth.
I guess that post got the reaction I was looking forward to reading ... my bad.
