I had a chance to demo a 132 Naish Monarch last week; I've been riding a 136 Slingshot Misfit and found the transition to the Monarch very comfortable. This is a very smooth riding board; the channels in the base seem to really help with grip (excellent upwind) while still feeling surfy. I had a great time riding this board. I was easy to jump and I found it to be quite fast and stable if you wanted to let it run. Smooth, smooth smooth. Mostly I enjoyed how it responded to foot pressure on the waves..
I tried it with the Apex straps which are super cush... more comfy than the stock Misfit straps.
Overall if I had to choose.. touch choice.. the Misfit is such a nice board.. but Naish definitely made me think twice; give it a try at Big Winds.
