I'm sure this CG ruling has been posted here before but frankly I'm just too lazy to search:

considering that the letter is stamped 2007 - I don't think the state has made it a point to worry about the ruling...........

Here's a coupla questions that NEARLY ALL windsurfers, and virtually EVERY kiteboarder in the world is ignorant of...

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF THE STAND ON VESSEL when approaching head on?

and

WHICH TACK IS THE "STAND ON VESSEL" when approaching head on.

In every instance that I've done the proper thing in this situation, the other sailor does exactly the wrong thing. Then screams " Hey, I was on starboard, mutha fukker!!!!"

After all these years, that still cracks me up.

I only ask because I was on a starboard broad reach yesterday (riding toe side) and some guy on port heading upwind got really close to me. I was pumping my kite 'cause the wind was light and my lines got really close to him (he ducked and told me to head higher... dude, I'm trying to go downwind and can't really spin around on this strapless surfboard, sorry). Shouldn't he have given me more room?

Laughing totally deserved.

But seriously, I don't want to get tangled and doubt the other person does either. Starboard, bitches!

If this happened at Rooster late yesterday afternoon that may have been me. Sorry if I got too close I was fighting to hold my ground against the current. I was aware of your position and ducked kind of jokingly and didn't think we were in any danger of tangling.

My not have been me cause I didn't say anything about it in fact I think I just smiled. But if it was me again I am sorry and will be sure to give people a wide berth in the future.

John

Kudos to you for apologizing! haha. Maybe we should have a apology thread where kiters can profess their wrongdoings, no matter how big or small. That would be entertaining.

Nope, this was the day before, at the Event Site. I know, I know, I should expect this at the event site.
