Many have. Bring everything you'll need. There is nothing but snakes.

Three Mile Canyon was my arch nemesis in the Gorge for a long time.
Moderate launch - especially if you are going solo.
Snakes in the grass.
Fun as all get out.
Love the flat water and mix it up with some swell in the channel.

ive kited there quite a bit. really fun to kite in the flat water. i always have someone help me launch because it can get sketchy really quick. If you have a hard time staying upwind then i wouldnt do it, because there isnt much of a helping current in the little marina there. Could end up in the bushes really quick

Your wrong...Rufus isn't always the only place you need to go in Eastern Or, Wa. There can be storms that make Rufus a gusty bitch and 15 miles east it's better and even nicer at three mile. It's right at mile marker 151. Best to go with others for launching and breakdowns. In fact, the terrain is so rugged, a pair of chacos sandles on the back of your harness is a great insurance policy. Can self launch at the head of the lagoon area. Sweet camping at the west end jetty/head of the lagoon area. Reminds me of Baha and yes, raffle snake country and bring everything if your camping.
