Here are a few shots of some coastal goodness from yesterday. It was very summerlike here with ultra warm 65 degree water, sunshine all day, and beautiful smooth peeling waves.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

My day at Manzanita today looked a lot more like D-Krep than Windian's. Blown out 4 foot washing machine waves.

Anybody at Seaside today? Love to know what happened up there and if it is worth the trip tomorrow.

I was at sunset and did a DW to gearhart. Wind was good. Waves were not clean. Going again tomorrow. Good, bad, if the wind is blowin it is worth the trip for me cuz it is still warm out there! I sure would've loved those clean waves....jealous!

I was at Seaside near the estuary, from about 3:15 to 5:30. It was light - varying from "I can barely keep my 12m in the air" to "wow - I can almost go upwind!" Most of the time it was "enough power to get up and go, but continually losing ground."

I can't say for sure, but I think I got more riding in than than the other folks who were there - at least while I was there. But I spent a lot of time walking back up the beach. It might have been better earlier.

In the end, I wish I had gone to Manzanita.

Those are surfers without kites out there with me. I was first one on the water that day with a kite in my hands. I tend to often be the icebreaker around here when everyone is wondering if is windy enough to go. The super light wind realm (early session) will usually be the cleanest conditions, but you might find yourself sharing the waves with paddle-in surfers. Here are a few more from Saturday's surf fest.

I was at Manzo from 3-4:30 yesterday and 12-4:30 today. Today was better. 10m surf strapped and strapless start, rode the twintip freestyle when fully lit by 2pm, then switch to the 8m strapless and it was ON!!! A bit punchier in the later part, but waves were cleaner farther south, away from the Headland *(I don't know why this was, but it was).

Looks like Windsi is at a *secret* spot?

Earlier is usually cleaner, but if you keep looking, a clean 8m session is there...

Windsian, you out early on a Jumbo kite? 12 Rally '14?

Cool
