Being a proficient wind forecaster should be part of your kiteboarding skills. It will save you mountains of time and gas money, and it will prevent the dreaded humiliation of showing up at a windless beach all amped to kite.

By the way there will be little to no wind in Newport for several days, but we did just finish up with an unreal cycle of wind and solid groundswell Monday to Wednesday. Attached is a sample of what it looked like around here.
