heading to lincoln city for our annual family beach trip the 14th-19th. forecast looks awful for wind and im wondering how accurate these sensors are on a nw wind. hope they read low! |

Welcome to August. The daylight is shorter and the wind is a little more fickle. Do not just depend on the sensors they are never that accurate, except Newport Jetty. Your best bet is to look at web cams or just look at the water. Fog plays a big factor on where the wind will be blowing (Offshore, near shore or on land). If a session does happen you need to get right on it. It will be short lived. Bring a surfboard or SUP. |

Wind will fire up on Sunday 8/18 and be good at least thru 8/20. Be patient.

What's the scoop on sw winds here at Lincoln city? Looks like it could build and be ridable in a couple hours. 12:30 now. |
