To the dude that noticed I was sitting in the rocks.....
To the dude that landed my kite, while I was laying on the ground trying fly it....
To the dude that rolled up my kite and bar, picked up my crap and got it to the RV
TO MIKEL, Mikes wife that noticed that I shouldn't be laying in the rocks and knew something was wrong....... got her gloves on and brought her trauma pads and mine out of my rv...

I was coming in to change out boards at rufus and stepped on a doubled up salmon set up fish hook. It severed a arteriolos when it tore out of my foot. Although it didn't hurt, I ended up going through three sets of 4x6 heavy trauma pads and bled all over the rocks, the beach and the car. I ended up in the dales ER, where they got me right in and sutured my arterioles together, made sure it still pumped blood( which it did with every heart beat) and sewed up my foot and had me out of there quickly...... its crazy , it didn't hurt at all when I did it, but after they fixed it, it certainly was uncomfortable.
I pride my self on being self reliant like so many of us, but in this case I needed help and mikel and the crew were there. So thanks again |
