Anyone ever kite in Ocean Park, WA? Any particular spot the locals launch? Anyone else going to be up there this weekend? I'll be flying solo so looking to hook up with whoever is around.

I'm local...to the LB peninsula. Shoot me a PM.

We're having land kiting this weekend too (Buggies/Boards) NAPKA event.
Cranberry to Klipsan, but I'd love to go amphibious...

I usually play out in front of Cranberry, or Seaview with the local surfers.
But I'm still beginner water kiter.

ROCK ON!
Steve

NW downwinders all weekend!!
Got really light (10-12) after 4PM yesterday, bring your big kites.
Sunday looks light all day...but tomorrow should be good 15-20.
Not "nuking" by any standards, but enough.

Cranberry approach is groomed nearly to the hard-pack. Couple sand bars make some nice flat spots on the inside to play with.

The Long Beach weather sensor is inland a bit so I don't trust it 100%... bring the family and BBQ just in case it dies...

Think I'll make it to ocean park tomorrow. Haven't been there yet, which part of ocean park do I go?
