Hi everyone,
New to the area and sport. do you need gloves in Hood River if I wanted to go out this or next weekend? Thinking about the Patagonia R3 or R4 maybe?
Thx for the info!

Personal choice. This early in the season my 1.5mm gloves worked great, but at the same time there are gloveless riders already kiteing in HR.

Depends how your hands do. I've used gloves in the summer at the coast when the winds are cranking and there might be some fog. Won't need gloves in the Columbia this weekend, but dip in temps next week.. .

Also depends how long you are in the water, ie constant body drag/surfer or advanced (dropping the kite 0-2 times in a 3 hour sesh).

Ah that's why my forearms were burning the following two days. That and it was my first session. Lol.
