So, Jones Beach kind of went off today - roughly between 15 and 20 kts from about 4:30 to 6:30. Tomorrow is looking better than today - I think.

So what do y'all think - is it gonna go? Anybody going to check it out? I'm thinking if it still looks promising in the morning, then I'm going to take my gear with me to work. And if it's looking good mid-afternoon (at least as good as today), then I may head out.

ikite forecast says it'll be a good'ern. mid to high teems from 330p on. ikite forecast is also saying wind direction will be all wnw, sensor data from yesterday doesn't look like there was any consistency in the wind direction yesterday

I recall Dern having a pretty good formula for predicting jones.

I'm somewhat less optimistic than I was last night. We're having increasing high clouds moving in, and that can put a lid on the winds.

Still, I'm going to watch, and go for it if it things start moving upwards in a promising way.

Tide is an issue with SI and Jones. . .more so after Spring has passed. The stronger/fuller channels this time of year seem to nulify the tide in the Spring. SI/Jones locals want to chime in?

If you jonesing for a session today....drive East.

Had a nicely lit 14M solo session from the Event Site yesterday from 4:30 - 6:30 with smooth butter by the bridge. First time I've ever seen the ES empty. Not even Sean Sean or Dangler were around.

Today will be overcast with light wind picking up to W 15-18 in the afternoon so it's looking safe for some mid-week goodness. Friday's lining up well too fyi.

Looks like the pressure is slowly building the right way but the temp differential is only going to be a few degrees. It may go but stick close to shore if it does.

Bright, sunny, and beautiful @ Kalama right now. It's actually been ridable here in the late afternoon the last couple days.
