self repair. dacron tape on both sides. forget about it.
small tears in the middle of panels don't see much in the way of stress during normal use.

ditto
Wait until you need more than that repaired before making the effort to get it to a professional.
People need to leash their deer on the beach

I give out bad advice.

Sat Apr 13, 13 5:01 pm Self repair...just make sure to offset the tape |
|
|
That's a small tear, do it yourself.
Make sure to cut the tape and offset the opposing side so you don't create a solid edge.

Take it to the Dangler... fast, cheap and fixed right=no stress wondering how your self-repair job is holding up.

Tired of people letting their deer run around off-leash at Roosevelt, shitting everywhere and punching holes in kites.

I would find the owner of that deer and make him pay for a proper repair!
Dacron tape would fix it fine. Avoid duct tape whenever possible, leaves a lot of muck behind when removed for proper repair, or re-tape when sun and sand wreck ur tape

In the past, for low-load areas like this, I've done self repair and then up-graded to pro just before selling in the classified section of NWK. ONLY use self-adhesive Dacron sail tape, never use duct or packing tape.

OK, since there is no kite repair out at Rosey (they need to find a camp host that can sew) and that is the way I come from, I will self repair and then consider a pro repair next time I am in da Hood. Thanks all. Deer is so damn cute. It came up and sniffed my ear and licked me when I was down rigging my lines. I didn't think it would have the balls (female though) to walk on a flapping kite. I think the tribe raised it as a pet. Camp Host Ray says that Fish and Game said if they come out, they are going to shoot her. We were trying to find a preserve for it somewhere in Murdoch and I was going to lure it into my van and take here there but I never heard back from them. I hope that stupid human meddling does not lead to this deer's demise despite the fact that she stepped on my kite.

Self repair with tape or sew it yourself. Take the money you were going to spend on repair and come to Washington and puff some good herb.
