wow that looks good
nothing like an early session at event site with no crowds.
joe is killing it with that setup. did his beanie stay dry the whole session?
if so he can be classified as a senior level lawn mower. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com |

Yes, the graph represents the wind quality well. The spike at about 5:00 suckered me out into the water and the subsequent drop at around 5:40 is where my kite fell out of the sky and gave a nice set of frozen digits. Got a lucky gust and made it back okay, but I wouldn't want to hang out in the water too long. |

Around 2:30 it died, kite fell outta the sky, barely able to get 3/4 ways wrapped and my hands were useless. slo slo self rescu from not too far out, started kicking to speed things up, and wrapped one leg tight nearly all the way to the kite. Kinda sucked knowing I could no longer swim, nor abandon the kite, as I am now ONE with it.
Got to the sandbar and unwound 25 wraps around my ankle. Note to self; get another kite knife and start carryin it.
BTW I woulda been freezing in a wettie, still wearing the drysuit. My hands were beyond useless, which could've been a real problem in a lot of scenarios. _________________ Kite Repair? AND WINGS Call me.(509) six 37-four five 29 |

Sounds like the self-rescue I had my two seasons back, except I was further out in the channel with a barge blowing his horn for moral support! |
