It was great to get out on the water today! I really needed a fix!

Less sun but more people out today since it was the weekend.
I counted about 15 kites at the peak of the day.

Good times seeing the usual suspects out yesterday but the quick realization of how out of shape I am was a harsh reality. Diet started today and hoping there is still time to not make Spring feel like a total cluster.

Wind turned on again this afternoon. About 4 of us had the whole river to ourselves, and I wasn't cold at all. This is the most amazing February I've seen in the 9 years we've been down here...

I was amazed it didn't feel that cold. Wore a 4/3, no hoodie and basically socks. Lost the bottom of my left foot after awhile but still so fun. Gman was killing it as he racked up month 85. Thumb's Up Yep....that's over 7 years of consist year round goodness.

I'm in the market for booties as well and Nak seems pretty sold on the Atan "Hot Mistral" or the "Mistral" so trying to source those now. They're around $70.

You can probably find the Hot Mistrals here:
www.24-7boardsports.com

They are in England but the shipping was reasonable. Ask for the VAT (English tax) to be credited and they will do that.

I got the Madison's (3mm). Love them but my feet still get a bit cold. Had I known about the Hot Mistrals I would have gotten them instead.

Me and Brave went out yesterday for a little bit. Make sure you don't drop your kite like I did. That cold water really shrunk my boys, as well as all the air in my bladders, making it hard to relaunch/fly the kite very well. The wind wasn't very good either. It was like riding on a shit-wind day but much colder.

I'm still really glad I went out for a sesh, just make sure you use the buddy system and are bundled up well. I don't want to sound like an old grandma, just trying to save somebody from learning the hard way. I slept super well last night and was super stoked to have been able to kiteboard right out front! I just don't want anybody turning into a popsicle out there!
