Big shout out to the Summit. I had not skied there in years and it my astonishment they fully recognize certs up there and give complimentary tickets. The customer service/attitude and kindness at the ticket window of Brenda today blew me away...
Thanks again and I definitely put in a kind word with your management... For those those ski up there, whoa... I forgot what great terrain Alpental has tucked away.
Thanks, Jon Malmberg |

Kind words and nice to see appreciation.
PSIA? http://www.thesnowpros.org
My Dad lives near there (Fall City) and I use to go all the time . Upper Alpy can be seriously challenging - ski it if you can. Ha! I use to run races on that hill for for many years. City League is a great way to meet people. Quick shot across I-90 for Seattle folks. Fun night skiing, but make sure you put Fog-X on your goggles.

"Ski it if you can"... Ha, that is Mad River Glen's moto... Skied that crazy little hill back in my race days. Never did the City League thing as aging men in full body ski tights was a little disturbing.

Yup, PSIA Level III's... Gots my Alpine and Telemark. Just a Level II AASI (Snowboard). Turns out that Stevens Pass is also kicking out the complimentary deal this season as well. Knew there was a reason I worked so hard for all those years... Still coaching up at Crystal for Snowperformance...
Hope this season continues on like it has been over the last few weeks... I have not skied this many days this early in a long long time. Gotta get to bed for the early rise to go... skiing.
Ciao, Jonny |

Mad River Glen was the last place I skied. Never put them on again, hadn't had them on for probably a season before that. It was 1993. Mad River was the last place to not allow snowboarding in the NE if I remember right... |

thanks for the heads up Jon, I was starting to believe all that time doing looking like a goober doing short radius turns on groomers and talking about unweighting was a complete waste of my time, not to mention over a hundred bucks a years in dues. Excited for my next Washington trip, Crystal Stevens Alpental! Jason |

Actually.....I would like to formally retract the last statement.
This place sucks.....in fact it rains ALL THE TIME. The snow is REALLY REALLY HEAVY, you can never have any fun here and the hole place is flat like a pancake. In fact Crystal and stevens and any where elce but here is way better. And I would much rather visit there then here. This place sucks.....
Now if you don't mind I'm going to head out for a quick tour before work.....In the rain with all the crowds.............to ski the horrible skiing conditions......that are here all the time......
Respectfully.... |
