I have had one for 3 years and my 62 year old knees feel so much better after a 2 hour session. I call it a hybrid because it really carves in the waves nicely. Mine weighs 10 lbs. 1 pound more than the mako equivalent. Did I mention sturdy and beautiful, my wife is very jealous!

Steroids for the beauty......but the Mako DNA is strong in that Bellacera. Those Mako's are fun fun boards and that Bella is a top shelf hybrid. Hybrids are why my strapless sucks because they're hard carving big boosting soft landing machines with the added bonus you can last 6 hours on it at KB4C.

I want a Bella but I want something bigger than 150cm. John offers a 155 that I think would be good.....but a 165x45 like the Mako King could be really good times.

So funny. I called John at Windance today to float the idea of making a King and yes indeed he has already made one. Very Happy rePete on this forum also had some great things to say about John's boards in past posts....one of which just happened to be King#1. We meet up on the 5th to talk specifics and then he starts building.

Thanks Dangler for the post since I have wanted a Bella ever since this thread back in 2009.

Good to see John's boards being discussed. I've been on them since he started making them. I'm on my third one and can't find anything that comes close to their ride. I'm 210 lbs. and currently have a 155 and a 140. I had a 165 and it surfs great and works on those lighter days but in the gorge we don't get swell on light days so I sold it ( keeps the wife happy). I ride the 140 most of the time now and love the way it swell rides on big days and is more fun to jump. The 155 is my coast board and lighter wind day machine. I was involved in the last board and kite tests that Kiteboarding mag did a year ago. (I hope I didn't cause their demise!) So I got to try out all types of twin tips, nothing holds a candle to the Bellacera boards! If surf boards are your thing he's got some great shapes that ride butter smooth. He's usually got some to demo and can custom make whatever you want. I'm not a sales rep for him, just giving my honest hands on evaluation.
