Hi Guys,

Here's a short video I just put together from the Bighorns here in Wyoming. It was this last weekend. I finished this edit pretty quick so people can use it as a conditions update. I tried to give it a little story at the beginning...How'd I do?

We weren't sure if there'd even be snow because everyone was backing out of the weekend. Wayne and Pascal texted at 11pm Friday night before for a 5am start Saturday. I was digging my snowkiting crap out of the closet until 3 am.

We hit the road to get a beautiful sunset session. The funny part is how EPIC kiting can make 0-8" of snow. We knew the last storm blew N and NW so we had hopes for some wind loading on the SSE slope. Ultimately I like to think that it wasn’t pure luck and there was some calculation somewhere.

We used a Canon 60d DSLR camera and a GoPro2 like usual.

Let me know if you have any opinions or advice on GOOD MUSIC!!! Finding music is the hardest part for me.

p.s.
We'll get some snowboarding and jibbing in there when we have a little more snow.

Cheers! -Will Taggart

Damn!!

You make some pretty marginal conditions look damn near epic. Great job on the edits & way to get the stoke going.

Firewood pile is almost there. Road trip time.

Great video, I really enjoyed it. I thought the music choice was good... fit the atmosphere of the video really well. What lens/lenses did you use for the 60D?

Thanks for the feedback guys! Can't wait for more snow...

Glad the music worked, It was the hardest part because I wanted to get the video done fast enough that it could be used as a conditions update, but I kept listening to music not really liking anything, and had to just commit to it.

The lens was a 70-300L. And a Gopro as my wide. I was saving up for a full frame camera and they kept coming out with new technology and cheaper this and more expensive that. So I went for the 70-300 lens since they stay the same. Someday I'll have a full frame camera for it. I found the L series has great benefits for film because of the IS, smooth focus, and the constant aperature.

Cheers!
