Tue Oct 30, 12 11:31 amseattle windy
not much hurricane force winds up north in seattle, but good 10 meter wind on the lake.
happened to drive by after some meetings in the city to watch the local riders ripping it up in a rare sunny day in seatown.

been a good windy week up here in seatown.
some shots from the past couple of days up here
little bit cold today wore the drysuit the last couple of sessions but that was more because of a dog bite injury that needed to stay dry!

this winter I have been using the patagonia R3 for most of my sessions. a couple weeks back I got bit by a dog and needed to keep my arm dry so it would heal without infection. that is when I finally succumbed to wearing the drysuit. joe came up from hood river this week and wanted to go kiteboarding. weather never got above 40 all weekend so I continued wearing the lucifer. with a thick layer of fleece for pants and top, I don't get cold. today I was out for an hour. My hands got the coldest and then my feet but overall it was not bad. it was 39 according to the bridge temp reading. what is real nice about the lucifer is the neck collar is the most comfortable of any drysuits I've had. I can get in it in about 2 minutes and zip it up by myself. I tend to kite alone because either everyones at work or its too cold so its important to do it alone. some drysuits are virtually impossible to zip up alone. as for water entering the feet, it has happened only on rare occassions like when I don't ensure the seal is seated properly against my ankle.
its a solid suit that allows for more time on the water. I recommend it if you are limited on time and are looking for that quick lunchtime session
the local shop urban surf in seattle has them on sale right now. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com

Nice little video. I like the field of view you have with that camera. Most of the other footage i've seen is pretty bumpy, but your video is remarkably smooth. Does that camera have stabilization?

no stabilization correction has been done with the camera. it is all achieved with the new design on the line mount. it works very much like the original line mount in regards to how it connects to the lines however it is totally different in how the camera interfaces with the mount. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com
