Is that right at the ski resort or more on the big lake past the ski resort? I have thought about driving up there to do some snow kiting but I am not very familiar with the area. Certainly a shorter drive than Idaho.........

hey blaze yes its the lake adjacent to the summit ski area. its the closest spot to snowkite, but nothing like what the gorge has to offer for snowkite.
what's nice is if the conditions are bad for snowkite, you can always do some turns at the resort!

yesterday we had some pretty strong winds hit late in the day. here are some shots from yesterday afternoon up at double bluff

How do you keep the frame up right when you tack? I have to flip my iPad 180 degrees to keep the kiter up right vertically with each tack. What editing software do you use?
The new mount that you reference - is it commercially available or is it a personal modification? If available - where?

I just use iMovie on a mac for basic editing. there is a simple feature to reorient the video.
you can check out camrig.com for availability of the mounts.
the HD2 mounts are in stock and available for purchase.
the HD3 mount is currently being tooled and should be available very shortly.
both of these mounts are different than the original line mount.

great winds up here today in the puget sound.
low tides and strong winds made for some super fun blasting through an inch of water along the shore

I know there are some kiters that don't care much for dogs at the beach. not trying to start anything here, just sharing some kite stoke.
remember this is a drama free kite thread.
this video was taken at double bluff state park where the actual beach is considered an off leash dog park.
footage taken the same day as the last series of images were shot.
