I have tomorrow off. Are the forecasts I'm glancing for HR correct. 10m weather? With good chance of rain?

Go get it, I hope you have a kite buddy.

Showers, mainly before 11am. High near 62. Breezy, with a west wind around
22 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New
precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Forecast looks good. Maybe even enough for a Can of Whupass out east.
As usual, with a storm push thing could be like a box of chocolates, but windy is as windy does and it's still warm enough to have a lot of fun out there.

See you out on the water!

Just a friendly reminder that launching along the Hood River Waterfront will be limited to the Sandspit and the Marina Beach.

Quote:
The Hood River Event Site will be temporarily closed to kiteboarding and windsurfing during the HARVEST FEST Scheduled set up, breakdown and during the actual event.

This is an annual county event that happens every year and requires the closure of the Event Site for them to set up , and breakdown the entire event, which is quite substantial.

The Sandspit is open, as well as the Marina, and with river waters rising due to rainfall, the water levels should be rising a bit allowing for fairly quick access straight out into the river from both locations.

Remember - Monday OCTOBER 15 - Thru - Tuesday OCTOBER 23, the EVENT SITE WILL BE CLOSED TO KITE/WIND ACCESS.

Thank you
Your local CGKA Board of Directors
