Looks like no wind in the gorge. I'm not ready for the ocean. Floras is too far from Portland.

Jones looks like it has potential, but Windalert forcast looks like almost direct offshore winds. Is it possible to kite with the wind like this at Jones?

Maybe I should just go mountain biking. The weather will be great for that.

You could try the beach and just stay on the inside. This is a couple of us on saturday. A guy snapped a picture and sent to me.

Wow, great pic Bill. Really shows the day off, look at that wave in the background. So huge.

20-25 at the north coast today around 3-8pm. So say the wind authorities.

big nasty waves last Friday.. Manzanita may be challenging.

Thanks, but I can't take any credit for the picture. I was coming in and a total stranger took some pics. Started chating and he sent me a couple.

It was huge on the outside which was way beyond my ability, but found sections in between. Lots of water moving around. Hope today is a repeat.

The photo was taken north end of Seaside near the entrance of the Necanicum. The guy had a telephoto lense, but I couldn't tell you what kind.

Manzanita had great wind today - but the waves were way bigger than I have ever kited. I just stayed inside most of the time and got really good at running away from huge walls of water. Fun day!

Manzo was fairly legit today. Probably 7-9 foot faces, solid 12m. Big, thick and nasty on the outside...I like my waves like I like my women. Shocked
