Wave kiting, what’s more popular? Strapped or strapless?

I believe there is a discipline of strapped paddle in riding. It'd be my guess he was doing that or tow in.

We had to buy 2 leashes for mauritius and glad we did. With the wave breaking just outside the reef and the reef 1-2 feet below the water you dont want to be swimming over it to get a board. It took a while to get used to it and get the right length but i kinda like it now. Took tony a while to get used to it too but in big waves and nasty reef it makes sense. Might keep it on in certain situations. Eveyone bails out the back side of this wave to avoid the close out and get back out quickly. Lots boards and riders flying through the air today. Actually was amazed how fast they got up and were riding. Down time was only a few seconds on some. Might not work for thick nw &ca waves.
