If so where.. Temp diff is looking good for jones, but not sure if the pressure differential is gonna cooperate. _________________ Switch Nitro II (8m, 10m, 12m)

Rooster was great today... super flat water and nice steady wind. Looks like Jones Beach went off today (still going actually) and is forecast to do the same tomorrow, so it seems to be a choice between flat water & big kites at Rooster/Stevenson or smaller kites and a wild ride at Jones Beach. |

was there any beach to launch and land at rooster? or did you do a downwinder from Dalton? |

There was a nice sandbar that could easily handle three to four kites at a time. Although, you have to walk through knee deep muck/mud to get to the water. _________________ Steve

John, Nate and I were at Jones today with a couple others. Wind was very strong 4-5pm before I rolled up. I rode my 11m from 6-7 or so, wind was going down quite quickly then held out at 13-14m range well past when the sun went down. I thought it would be a bit windier for a .11 pressure gradient but I didn't get out until the gradient began dropping off. Definitely a full thermal driven wind - once the really hot temperatures go down in Kelso the wind begins to fade.
Someone was out on a 7m in nuke alley when I drove up. |
