I've been a bit tardy getting this up but here's what we've got to look forward to once we finally get some wind for the comp:
* $1,000 to $2,000 prize pool depending on how many riders register for the event.
* 1 week stay at the Agualina Resort in Cabarete, DR (mens 1st Place)
* Growlers
* Swag
* Gear
* Gift Certificates for local restaurants and businesses
If we get 50 people to sign up at $50 each here is what the cash prize pool will look like:
Distribution
M1 20% $350.00
M2 15% $262.50
M3 7% $122.50
W1 15% $262.50
W2 10% $175.00
W3 6% $105.00
OG1 5% $87.50
OG2 4% $70.00
OG3 3% $52.50
J1 5% $87.50
J2 4% $70.00

Grom 1 2% $35.00

100% $1,750.00
Now for some pics of the gear: (not shown is the Slingshot and Liquid Force boards that are coming). Also unseen is the various gift certificates and other miscellaneous prizes. Each competitor also gets an event T-shirt, an event towel and a beer or drink ticket and a discount on lunch.
In the end there will be quite a bit more than what you see here so come on out and participate or just enjoy the show!

Besides the cash prizes I listed at the top of this page the last two years we've successfully used the "gear pile picking order" format to let the riders choose their prizes from the pool of available stuff.
Basically there are 20 places that get prizes, Men's 1-4, Women 1-4, Old Guys 1-4, Juniors 1-4 and Mini-Groms 1-4. Those 20 riders get to pick from the four categories of prizes that are outlined below in the order shown.
Our sponsors put a tremendous amount of stuff out there because they want to see you guys come out and ride and show off your best stuff. This event is all about the stoke and having fun!
The forecast looks good for Sunday so come on out!
