I was looking at google maps for SI. Is the location at the end of Reeder Rd, looks like it ends in a parking lot decent for kiteing? 45.808618,-122.797742

WTF Weaz? You have 146 posts, you live in Beaverton, and yet never visited the evil temptress? Yea, the kite beach is there. But if you're too cool to hit sauvies--or if you only have a 5,7,9, then sauvies is not for you.

LoL I only got a 10 and 13 atm.

Never hit there, but from what I heard it's usually the last stairs near 45.775399,-122.775592 on google maps. I gotta wait on my harness arriving tomorrow at home, and if it's late enough I may have to hit sauvies instead of Jones like my plan was.

You go straight off the bridge and turn right at the fork in the road; this will take you in front of the school. After that you just go straight. After a while you will pass a trailer park/store on your left and be able to see the river in front of you. It's not much farther from there. You will come to a long straight stretch of road with a hill on the right and gravel to park in on the left. Go to the far end and park near the last set of stairs. After that go over the hill and to your left and you are there.

Overall it's about a 6-7 mile drive on the island.

Bring a plastic bag to pick up all the crap that's on the beach. When I was there tuesday evening, the place looked trashed with paper, plastic, dog turds, you name it.

Its ridiculous the trash that people (non kiters) leave.

I am going to start carrying plasitc bags in my car when I go out there. Makes you wonder if one should walk around barefoot. There were also glass bottles laying around.

I am not a turd expert, but the ones laying on top of the sand looked like they came from a good sized dog or a kid. Laughing
