Sunday evening (29 Juli 2012, 8pm) a male person (in his 50's) tried to steal my Kite-bag (Car Keys inside, oops). When I confronted and pointed my iPhone at him he got very aggressive. He grabbed my T-shirt that I had in my hands and ripped it in pieces. Sad

The Sauvie Locals are protective of their kite beach. Don't take pictures and publicize this spot.

Hopefully someone knows this guy?

Maybe post it on Craigslist? Very Happy

Absolutely. Sounds like this guy needs a time out.

Here's the pic resized:

Why did you identify him as a nudist?

The pic wasn't taken at the nude beach, and he's not naked.

Agree that you should file a police report, and provide them with the picture.

Its too bad you didn't follow him and get a license plate number.

I'd never heard about people's stuff getting messed with on the beach until about a week ago someone mentioned that a kiter had his bag ripped off. If this guy is a repeat problem, a pic could help.

It might help to post the pic on the stairs leading up to the beach.

That's kinda questionable logic: Not at nude beach. Dressed.

Describing him as a nudist isn't accurate, particularly if you are talking to the police. Let's catch this guy, not make odd assumptions.

that guy is wearing pants - obviously not Monkeyboy

Monkeyboy says that snapping photos may not be best approach for dealing with nudist thieves (he whipped his pants on while you grabbed for the phone?)

Use the element of surprise

Chihuahuas are not recommended either:

Nudist arent ALWAYS nude. The have to get to and from their beach spot, and they usually wait until then to completely disrobe. So this guy is probably a nudist en route. Wink

Pretty unlikely. The nude beach is about a mile away.

When I kite up at the nude beach, I leave stuff on the beach all the time with no problems. There's a different crowd there than Rooster. I see more sketch behavior further south on the clothed beach than up by the nude beach.

It's just kind of strange to assume that some clothed guy, at the kite beach, a mile away from the nude beach was a nudist.

Sorry, I did not want to offend any naked people.
I just thought a Nudist in the headline would draw more Attention.

But seriously, this guy walked up Walton Beach naked and passed me with a creepy smile. That was before he decided to pinch my Kite-bag an hour later.
I filed a police report and the local Sheriff contacted me today.
The Officer was pretty serious and told me what happened would lead to his arrest if they find him. (for Disorderly Conduct II, Theft II, and Harassment).

I am just so happy I did not punch that person in the face.
The Tai Chi Lessons have paid off Wink

Peace!
