Pay it forward - found board

I lost my board yesterday at SI despite everyone's effort to chase it down in the fast current- thanks everyone. I was pretty depressed about it, since just got this board.

This morning, I got a call from a fisherman who picked up my board 15 miles down river past Woodland, WA, when he saw it on the shore. He said I could meet him at his house in La Center this afternoon when he was off the water later in the day. He even met me at the I-95 to give it to me.

When I tried to give him a thank you card (sealed with some cash), he said: "No way! Pay it forward."

Enough said. I hope I get the chance to help someone else out this summer on the water.
