Winds across the Gorge generally in the single digits. Some mid teens possible in the PM for Jones Beach. The North and Central Coast see NW low teens while the South Coast reaches NNW near to maybe low 20's.

temperature forecasts for Astoria and Portland show at least a 10 degree difference Fri - Sun - almost 20 degrees on Sat. That satisfies one of the key wind driving components for Jones. I would bet the wind forecast for Jones is a bit too conservative.........

As I said. First time at Jones, all the forecasts, including ikite were saying single digits... and it ended up being perfect 6m weather 25g35... too bad we only had 10m's... talk about being lit...

No clouds in the sky over in the Kelso/Kalama area, so the thermal winds should be able to pick up real good... Unless astoria gets really hot.

I have a meeting in Astoria at 2, so will hope to be there around 4 or so. I'll give an OSR if it's going.

well Jones ended up being perfect 13-14 meter territory after 4:30pm... there were 9 kites in the air at one time... probably a total of 19 kiteboarders from 4-8pm
