I had the opportunity to demo this board from 2nd wind sports in HR and have used it up here in Seattle for the past couple of weeks. While I'm no dave tyburski, I can tell you that it goes upwind as well as my glide, however this board is super fun especially in low tide situations. Here in the puget sound, we can have some pretty extreme tides and when its super low, you can ride this in about an inch of water. anyhow it goes upwind well, but also can go downwind very good for a skim due to the nose rocker.
