Great shots, awesome trip - thanks for sharing.
Were you actually kiting inside the crater rim? Looks like it. Wind must have been squirly. And you were able to kite back up to the rim from inside?
Are there any National park restrictions on kiting? Doesn't look like it.
Where was the skiing - Mt Thielson, or just inside the crater rim?
We'd love details! Thanks again.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh!!
"Mechanical Transport" is the problem. This issue was deeply discussed on another kite forum about a year or two ago. It may be a good idea for us to scrub this thread.
Bureau of Land Management
National Park Service
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
U.S. Forest Service
DEFINITIONS
Mechanical Transport
APPENDIX B
Any contrivance which travels over ground, snow, or water, on wheels, tracks, skids, or by flotation and is propelled by a nonliving power source contained or carried on or within the device. Source: 36 CFR 293.6a
Mechanical Transport
Any contrivance for moving people or material in or over land, water, snow or air that has moving parts and is powered by a living or non-living power source. This includes (but is not limited to) wheeled vehicles such as bicycles, game carriers, carts and wagons. “Mechanical transport” does not include wheelchairs when used as necessary medical appliances, not does it include skis, snowshoes, sleds, travois, non-motorized river craft including driftboats, rafts, or canoes, or similar primitive devices. Did you have clip-on attachments for those Garmonts? Never tried riding my bike with ski boots before. Nice!
