Shocked

What did I say about Mondays? I hope it is not the trend for this summer!

Thanks for the info, I'm new to portland and hitting Jones for the first time today. New at forecasting, would Sauvie be a bad call today? Do Jones and Sauvie tend to fire together (or at least on similar thermals?)

I would think the traffic to 47 would be just as bad as traffic to get to I-5. Once you are on I-5 past Vancouver - speed limit is 70mph - most people going 80mph. Speed on 47 would be 55 tops most parts being slower cause of curves. Traffic is always a crap shoot, but I tend to go 205 to I-5 to Jones most of the time from Wilsonville

From Tigard with no traffic you could go 26 to vernonia and drop into clatskanie that way. I have come home that way and it's not a bad drive. Agreed most time it is I-5 to Longview etc. pretty simple drive that way!

Let us know, how was it? Windonthewater didn't look to promising. If it says 8 should we double that?

Don't forget about going hwy 30. I live in St. Johns and I almost always go that way. Scappoose and St. Helens can be a little slow but never as bad as I5 North. Nice drive and you can usually do about 55-65ish.

If you have a passenger you can use the carpool lane, that helps a lot.

I find the Jones sensor to be useless. Like Corey said, if its .04-.05 on the pressure gradient and 8+ degrees temperature difference between Astoria and Kelso, Jones will be blowing almost guaranteed.

Tonight it was howling - almost overpowered on my 9m. Little bit gusty. Couple of us were out there until 8:30pm when the sun was gone.

The iKite sensor seems to be working for Jones. This is the graph from Monday.
