Has anyone flown a 10m Rally with a 17" bar? It comes with a 20" bar, but I'm wondering how it flies with the 17". My 10m RPM came with a 20" bar, but I MUCH prefer the 17" bar with it.

I know, it would be best just to try it out. The thing is, I'm taking off for Cancun on Sunday. I gotta choose the 20" bar or the 17". The 10m Rally is new and I haven't flown it at all yet, so I just don't know.

Thanks!

it makes a pretty quick turn for a 10 so the shorter bar seems fine with it. not really sure there is an advantage, though. shorter lines are nicer in the waves.

Thanks! Yeah, I just prefer as short a bar as works. Have you actually tried the 17" with it? The 14m Rally turns quick for a 14m, so I tried it with a 20" instead of the stock 23". Turned it into a dog.

What I'm looking for is if someone has tried the 17" with the 10m. If not I'll just take the 20" and try a 17" later. Not really a big deal...

Flew my 10m many times on the 17" bar. Works fine but the bar also sports shorter lines as mentioned. IMO I would take the 20" bar for the better throw if it is a light 10m session. Short lines suck when you're underpowered and the 10m is so versatile that it won't matter if your juiced and on the 20" bar.
