Thanks Forrest.
Do you guys have diagrams /blueprints for a slider and or kickers ?
Material types for the slider.
I think yours are portable ? That's what we would need as well as permanent is illegal or nearly. Best type of mooring / anchor.
???? What else should we know about. besides , old guys should stay off rails. Lol.

I wouldn't really consider our rails portable beyond they are moved from the building location to the water. Definitely not the kind of things you would want to have to move into place and pull out every day.

We found a diagram with chord points for the slope on this kicker on Kitescoop. It took about 4 days to build + beer. We used schedule 80 electrical conduit for the sliding surface 1" as it very strong and UV resistant, This allows for 16" centers on 2 by 4 cross members. It started with a 13 foot long by 4 foot wide by 16 inch thick piece of Styrofoam. The angle is adjustable and the ramp is portable. Two ropes with standard anchors seems to do the trick! We have since pulled it out the lake to dry and paint it. The finished kicker is about 5 feet wide, 15 feet long, and about five feet tall. Super fun to hit! I would imagine two 55 gallon barrels with a structural wrap would accomplish the same as our piece of stryo?

^ nice kicker. The adjustability must be fun to mess around with. can you ride over and change the angle while kiting? now THAT would be sweet.

A screw gun is needed to adjust it via blockage on the back as it pivots on the front axis. We ended up filling in the gaps on the top half of it with conduit, but it wasn't needed. You can gap the 1 and 1/4 inch total outside diameter conduit at 1 and 1/4 inches to save cost/weight.

Haha sorry. Yeah then for sure, floating is the way to go if you want to build big stuff. Just make sure you get the anchor thing down.... that took us a while!! idk much about that stuff but Forrest should be able to help you more with that if you need info.

With 296,000 Google entries for slider designs does any one individual really know where credit is due? Seems like a group effort of trial and error. Good luck with your build Jack.

Plans a plenty, that's true. But mine is probably the only fully dimensioned compound curve out there.
I spent quite a bit of CAD time dialing in the flow of that curve and making adjustments after getting feedback. -As a dedicated effort to optimize it for your launching pleasure. I posted it on the scope for people to use so that's awesome! I'd love to hear how jackZ's and perryj's kicker ramp works out; with pictures of course!
