Scott's Creek is sick. I scored there last month on my way up the coast. That break can hold some serious size.

Bravo!

Nice! Love that place. You have any shots of the actual break over the ledge by the cliff? Not sure if any of those pics are over on that side, but I recall that having the best wave setup as long as you didn't go down onto the rock ledge. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, love that place but haven't been down in years.
Any camp grounds in the area for Scotts, Waddell, Davenport or any legal spots to park a small trailer for a crash pad? Coming down for a long weekend later this month.

Impressive to see guys out charging in survival conditions. Heavy consequences for being caught in the wrong spot on days like those pics!!

Super heavy duty!
It seems like a fine line on big days between hunting for waves and being hunted BY waves.....
All is good if the motor stays in the sky.
Love the pics man

Rets- costanoa is legit but expensive.

The cheaper place is to talk to the management at Gazos grill- they will take a fee to park overnight in the back of their lot( at 20$- but still a bargain compared to costanoa). There may be other camp sites south of Scott's that I don't know about , however.

Costanoa is pricey but has really nice amenities...great showers, free wifi, etc. I paid 30 bucks for the car camping site, and got an entire field to myself. About 5 minutes north of waddell. It was a welcome improvement over freeway rest stops for me.

I also hear that the cops in Santa Cruz county wont bother you if you're parked on one the turnouts on the bluffs overnight. If you're parked in a lot (eg waddell) they'll make you leave. Next county up, and youll probably get arrested, but supposedly no worries in SC.

It's not ideal because you dont want to be drinking beer in case a cop makes you leave at 2am. There's also a hostel at pigeon point, where I'm sure you could park your rig overnight and sleep.
