Heading down to La Ventana next weekend. First time going and I'm pretty excited. For taxi service from the La Paz airport, would you recommend setting up something before hand? Or can you just get any taxi at the airport to take you to La Ventana? I've read about both ways on the internets (the internets can be confusing).

Call playa central. They do shuttles and are located in la ventana. They have good pizza to. Take a ride and a bite from them!!

It can depend on were you are staying. Most of the places have an employee who wants to make a few bucks to shuttle you. A lot of folks in La Ventana have relatives in La Paz, it gives them a chance to visit before picking you up. I have been down there twice this year and have worked out a methodoogy of making the trip. Out of 7 day, 2 will probably not be windy enough. A car comes in handy for exploring.
