I know I'm unleashing a slew of possible sexual innuendos with this topic but I'm having a problem with my kite pump sticking especially in the cold.

Tried a low temp bike lube but it froze first day out, turned black, made lots of noise and made inflating two kites horrible.

So if anyone has any good recommendations that will work when it's 10 degrees outside but will also work when it's 80 for when I'm down in Corpus next week, I'm all ears. Smile

That's what she said. No, seriously, my snowkite pump sounds like a Bangkok whore's bed frame when the Navy is in town.

Tell me, seriously who does not like SILICON?
My only problem is their cold.
But the lube works really well.
I use ZAP Silicone lube in a large spray can with orange lable
spray can.
Spray it on the intake to get the inter-seales and remove the screw top and hit the top seal and the bottom of the SHAFT seal.
Stroking a lubed rod is so much better.
Pumping your kite is sooooooo much better..........AAAaAhhhHHHHHHHh!
When your done you can relieve your Blatter. Sooo good Embarassed

Is that what you were looking for Kitemare?

I have tried everything that I can think of. I believe that a complete cleaning with no lube is best. No matter what, those pumps have a short life.

Get a Carlson raft pump from NRS.
