Yes. The more drag on your body, the harder it is to go upwind. I find it difficult to get back to my board in my drysuit if the board is upside down and conditions are adverse.
One of these days I'm going to make a 2" foam pad to attach under the handle. Same function as a Go Joe, but not near so kooky. It would be a drysuit weather only thing... Just getting the board a bit out of the water should do the trick. |
