This brings up an interesting point. We need to evaluate our choices for public office based on how kiter friendly they are. DA doesn't really matter to much, but there are a few people running for Sheriff. The sheriff has a direct decision on water front enforcement... Wonder if we could do a Q/A with the candidates... |

In Hood River proper? Or just rural Hood River county? Guess it doesn't matter, we should be concerned with what PohPohWeVoteFoh |

Well, the Sheriff's Marine Deputy is responsible for several things. On water enforcement of laws, safety and rescue, and of course signing off on permits. If the new Sheriff isn't into kiteboarding events and the Slider Project's features, he could just choose to not sign off and the whole thing is done. |
