Anyone use one that keeps the phone dry? And where do you attach on your person? Unfortunately I need to be accessible. Not going to be making calls, emailing on the water But need to see the missed calls. |

Yes water proof to 2 meters for the iPhone 4. Just saw a friends and Takes good pics. I forget the name. Available at best but for like 60 or so. Don't exactly recall. Dont work there or have Any interest. Friend bought his there and showed it tome online. Looks pretty cool for water sports that don't include diving.

Dude, waterproof is as waterproof does. I've tried a number of waterproof cases, and all of them might leak at some point. Might not, but might. So, get yourself an el cheapo phone with a waterproof case from a kayak store. That way, if it leaks, you haven't junked your good phone. Just switch sim cards before & after session. |

No worries. Pick up an el cheapo no contract phone where you pay by the minute. I've found 'em on sale for about $30. Get a $30 phone bag from a kayak store. When you head out, forward your calls to the cheap phone, cancel forwarding when you get in. It doesn't take much salt water to fry a phone. Take a cell phone kiteboarding often enough, it will eventually get some moisture in it--regardless of the case. |

Who are you going to call while kitesurfing....I don't get it!!!
Or can you not go more than a few minutes without checking your FB or NWkite posts??
If this is for tunes grab a cheapo mp3 player that you can toss out when it gets wet.. _________________ It's all good |

I've used the exopod for iphone while kiting.
has held up well, but it's a little bulky.
some guys up here always kite with their phones. usually see a soft water bag that can easily tuck inside your wetsuit.
Since your verizon, you could always just get the casio phone

Otterbox is the only true leak proof I've found that works. Been using one for years....never an issue. |

Never had a problem with phone or ipod, but mine are older, haven't researched new versions. They have the big grey locking clasp and no rubber window, just hard plastic. Bulkier but fit underneath my wetsuit/rash guard easily. Fyi the H2O's brand do not work. Trial and error until the Otter.
When you're out riding for hours it works great for "being at the office". Kind of hacky but sending a text while wading in the Columbia is doable......but 95% of the time I use for music. |

A super geek friend is getting this done to his iphone. Still need a case, but it might keep that one "heartbreaker" drop of water from causing chaos and ruination when it slips by! |

Read my original post, I'm not going to make calls. My job has a massive customer service component meaning I gotta be accessible. Miss an important call, go talk in the car out of the wind. Same with texts and emails... |

Considering this treatment myself. I use my phone to record video on the Mountain with a simple "CaseCrown" case, and the extra caseless waterproof protection would be helpful if I ever drop it in the snow. Just got to make sure it's legit! _________________ SAY WHAT YOU MEAN, MEAN WHAT YOU SAY |
